I have been eying F.E.A.R. for some time now, but for one reason or another have never gotten around to playing it. I finally found time to sit down with the game and, while it is definitely dated, I had so much fun playing that I really couldn't help but sit down to write a review for it... Dated or not! At first glance, F.E.A.R. appears to be your typical “mute with a gun” first per... more.

Originally I meant to sit down and write a review for the game, The Stanley Parable, but I'm afraid that after attempting to come up with the words to do so, I've finally decided to give up. Yep, I'm afraid I've thrown in the towel. It just won't work, and I will have no part of it! That does not, however, mean that I won't be reviewing the title. I've just opted to do so in a different ma... more.

We here at The Gaming Experience are very in tune with everything that makes the experience we all are so passionate about each and every single day. It is not often something comes along that can actually complete the experience we are searching so hard for. Then there is the ButtKicker Gamer2 accessory, that it can be quite the kick to the experience. We have spent a ton of time to truly recr... more.

There was one game that has really set a new bar for how Mac games should be done: Metro: Last Light. In September the great people at Deep Silver announced a port to Mac, and I instantly became interested. It is not too often you get a game that looks astonishing, and plays incredible on the Mac system. It really does not take too much either to run it on OSX if you have bought a mac within the l... more.

One thing I have always been REALLY into has been the sounds of a game; I really mean it. Nothing can pull together the gaming experience quite like a good set of headphones, or speakers. Let’s face it, sound can make or break your experience while gaming. It has been a while since we reviewed any sound stuff, and thankfully Genius really came through and sent us out their new Cubed Speaker syst... more.

EA has done it again with the newest expansion to the cult hit game Sims 3; this time though, we have the luxury of building our own Island Paradise! Island Paradise has to be their best “true” expansion to the Sims 3 game yet. One of the cooler new things with the Sims 3: Island Paradise is the new boating system. By boats though this is a general term, it includes houseboat, sailboa... more.

Many gamers have either played or at least heard of the Diablo series of games and have heard of the term “Diablo clone”. There are many games that have adopted the gameplay elements of the Diablo series (Defeat enemies, loot, equip, repeat) to varying degrees of success but seemingly none had managed to achieve the same level of success as the Diablo series until Torchlight was released. Whil... more.

I have always been a fan of the stealth-geared genre of games, whether it is third-person or first-person, I have a deep fondness of them. When I had originally seen Hitman: Absolution at E3 last year, my excitement grew. To be honest I had never really played the previous installments of the Hitman franchise, only because my stealth crave had been fixed. However, when Hitman: Absolution released,... more.

It seems like the zombie game rush is not going to end any time soon. It is like every month a new zombie game is released to widely mixed results. One of the most recent releases in the zombie genre is Deadlight. The easiest way to describe Deadlight is that it is a 2-D platformer along the lines of Prince of Persia with some puzzles and light melee and shooting. Most of the game involves the pla... more.
