EA has done it again with the newest expansion to the cult hit game Sims 3; this time though, we have the luxury of building our own Island Paradise!  Island Paradise has to be their best “true” expansion to the Sims 3 game yet. One of the cooler new things with the Sims 3: Island Paradise is the new boating system. By boats though this is a general term, it includes houseboat, sailboa... more.
  • Vengeance DLC

Cove As of the moment of this writing, Cove is my least favorite so far out the entire Vengeance DLC. That does not mean the map is poorly designed though, as it has something to offer every type of Call of Duty player; you have the choke points, sniping spots, close quarters and it is a breeding ground for camping assault players. I have logged quite a few hours into the map already, and h... more.

Skylander Giants is a great game, If you don’t believe me then ask my 6 year old son; he was mostly excited about the toy figures and the portal that lights up when you put the figures on top. The Mystical portal of power is a gateway between our world and the world of the Skylanders.   Skylanders: Giants is the sequel to Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, and is available on Xbox 36... more.

Constantly in the business world, companies try and take advantage of the consumer for whatever reason; mostly to see what the competitor’s cards are. This has been a business practice for many decades, and I highly doubt it will stop anytime soon. The preface of this article is this little release by Microsoft:   Last week at E3, the excitement, creativity and future of our industry ... more.
  • Pure Michigan

While usually Michigan is a pretty bleak state, with its frigid cold winters, and just as cold summers, more and more companies in the gaming industry are looking here to call it their home. While more and more companies do so, Michigan has been taking advantage of a state with only a few companies to call it home. The companies that are here however, are doing some great work. It is true, ... more.
  • What Happened?

I often think to myself about the “state of the industry” and where it is heading without all of the veil over the eye bullshit. With every single state of the industry blog post from someone within the industry, or by a journalist it all seems to say the same thing: “it is headed in the right direction”. The question I want to raise is it ACTUALLY heading where they say it is? Gartner Gro... more.

I have always been a fan of the stealth-geared genre of games, whether it is third-person or first-person, I have a deep fondness of them. When I had originally seen Hitman: Absolution at E3 last year, my excitement grew. To be honest I had never really played the previous installments of the Hitman franchise, only because my stealth crave had been fixed. However, when Hitman: Absolution released,... more.
