Disney Princess: My FairyTale Adventure

Disney Princess My Fairytale adventure is a sweet game for little girls. You play as an apprentice to the Fairy Godmother. A spell has been cast over your favorite Disney princesses. You must Venture out and explore the worlds of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana and Belle. With your magic wand in hand you meet up with your favorite Disney Princesses and try and rid their worlds of this spell. You earn Gems while you play and can exchange them for items. You can also customize your bedroom, Character and accessories. You can play a variety of Mini games to expand your fun filled adventure. You are in the center of your own Fairy Tale adventure.

As an adult I found the game to be repeating in nature, but a child would be happy to play it. The good thing about the whole game is you can’t really get lost. The Disney princesses help you throughout the game, as there are gems scattered throughout the kingdoms. I really enjoyed playing this game since my kids have made me a man-version of a Disney Princess at heart.  I enjoyed discovering the worlds with my favorite princess, although the game is fairly short and I had no desire to replay the game; I just enjoyed the adventure. The game is rated E for everyone and a totally agree with that rating. However younger fans might need some adult help in playing this game. My verdict on the game: Cute none the less, Easy for girls and boys to play! Everyone really enjoyed the easy controls and the customization of your own room, Character and much more.

Controls are actually a very interesting part for this game, as normally I do not like playing games like this on the Wii. However, the controls actually flowed rather well for the game itself, and I forgot that I did not enjoy Wii controls during the time I played this game. For the most part the configuration is exactly what you would expect out of this type of game on the Wii, but again they were easy and fun to use.

Gameplay wise though, I did sometimes find Disney Princess: My FairyTale Adventure kind of lacking, but then again my age range is not the target audience. What I found that I did not like about it –gameplay wise- my kids loved. This is not a downfall though, as again my kids more than love this game and still plays it quite frequently.

Verdict: Disney Princess: My FairyTale Adventure is one of those more than perfect gifts for your young gamer girl. It takes every fantasy your child may have, gives them a base and lets them completely run with it. In this game you can completely customize your character, allowing your child to live out their fantasy in the game. There are a ton of things to do, both to have fun and stimulate your kids’ minds in this game.
